It’s pretty much unprecedented to have so many weekends closed, even in December. We have no choice but to wait for warmer weather. It’s 40 below in Fairbanks, 33 below at the base lodge. Odd this is called the first day of winter, after what we’ve experienced in the past few weeks.
At any rate, we’ll be hoping the predicted snowfall brings us a warmer Christmas day, and that one of these coming weekends we’ll be open again. It appears there’s a chance for Friday, so check back, and stay safe. We miss you.
We do not plan to open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, sorry.
