Lodge opens at 9, first bus at 10. Last bus at 3:30. Prime time at 12:30 for $5 off. Rope tow runs when staff is available but you may walk up and practice any time.
The Moose is once again 10 to 25 degrees warmer than Fairbanks again this morning. It’s nice to have inversion temps and sun returning after the long cold months. At 4 a.m. it’s 7 below at the lodge and plus 12 at mid mt. Forecast calls for sunshine, which always warms us up during the day.
We have been grooming hard this week with a long list of runs to enjoy, inlucluding Way Bear (including the walk-out), Lost Bear, Brother Bear, Polar Bear braids, Smoky Bear braids, Rabbit Runs 1, 2, 3 and 4, Sundance, upper Solar Coaster, Alder, Switchback, Waterfall, Sluicebox, Haw, Alpenglow, and the Bear Cub beginner area. Friday night we added Pipeline and regroomed Lost Bear, Sister Bear, and the Bear Cub beginner area.
Another short list for Sunday: Baby Bear, Solar Coaster (top to bottom) and the Bear Cub beginner area. Groomer’s choice for Sunday is Baby Bear.
