Ok Fairbanks, the Moose is OPEN today. You’ll need to plug in your cars to get out of town where it’s 30 below and get on the bus where it’s 20 below at 6 a.m. this morning, and ride to the summit where it’s 10 above!…and maybe just stand in the sunshine for a while.

The good news is that it’s much warmer only a few hundred feet above the lodge. If you have good tires and awd, you may like to park at our mid mountain area where it’s near zero this morning.  We will not be operating the beginner tow this morning.

Temperatures are predicted to rise 15 to 20 degrees today. Bring your “NES” kit (no exposed skin), balaclava, goggles, coat, mitts, etc. and take a cruise down one of our many groomed runs from a week ago, like Smokey Bear Braids, Brother Bear, Way Bear, Grizzly Gulch, Weasel Alley, Shreds, Gee/Haw, Wolverine, and Sluice Box. Tickets are $5 off as long as it’s below zero at the base lodge.

First bus at 10, last bus at 3:20. We’ll see you SOON!
