Friday, January 9 CLOSED
Relentless cold and lack of inversion with temperatures in the minus 20’s at all elevations again today. So the Moose must remain closed yet again.
At least one analysis shows that the past 5 weeks have been the coldest in the past 70 years for Fairbanks. We managed to squeak in only 5 very chilly open days. The rest had very little inversion and we were not open at all.
Forecasts now call for teens ABOVE next weekend. Let’s hope that comes true, and that tomorrow, Saturday, is at least within our operable limits.
