Good morning…last night’s deep freeze has moved out and at 6 a.m. it is -3 and snowing lightly at the Moose Mountain base lodge.  As usually happens with snow and unstable air, there is no inversion, temps are similar at all elevations this morning.   If it’s below zero at the lodge when you purchase your ticket, it’s $5 off regular rates.

It began snowing on Tuesday during grooming operations, and never stopped.  We have received 8″ of new snow this week.  It will be another deep powder Friday in a row with about half the mountain re-groomed underneath.  It is not recommended for beginners, as nothing has been groomed since the snowfall began.

Busses will operate from the first at 10 a.m. until the last bus at 3:30.  The beginner tow at the lodge will be available on demand, for beginners wishing to try powder with a groomed base.
