Moose Mountain is now schedule to open for 3 days starting the day after Thanksgiving, November 26-28. The opening will be for skinning/hiking and for self shuttle only. There will not be bus service due to the shortage of drivers.
Self shuttle and skin/hike season passes are on sale on line now. Just follow the links below. Skins passholders will not be eligible to ride up in vehicles, but self shuttle skiers and boarders are allowed. Vehicles must be 4 wheel or all wheel drive with winter tires, and proof of registration and insurance may be requested.
Masked and vaccinated customers may change, warm up, eat a sack lunch, and use the restrooms in the lodge. An outhouse is provided for non vaccinated patrons at top and base areas.
Self shuttle skier/boarders mush show their pass at the top before skiing down. Skins passholders must have passes out when climbing past the lodge, and show them to the agent there.
Day passes for skinning and self shuttle will be available on line when the opening is confirmed with reasonable temperatures and snow base. Snow depth is good on the top half of the mountain and on shaded and north sloping areas. Some runs may remain closed due to shallow depth. Inch by inch, conditions are improving, and we expect to have plenty of shredding available by Thanksgiving weekend.
We hope to see you then!
If you have a self shuttle or skins pass, be sure to stop at the base lodge to pick them up before heading up the mountain.
