Deep Powder Thursday, Dec 30,  We are open today at 10 for skinning and self shuttle/carpooling. We have received over 12 inches of snow since Sunday’s rain, so that crust won’t be an issue on skis, board, or snowshoes, but the 12+ inches will be variable, with wind affected areas around the summit and 10% water content. What a relief!
Only advanced skiers and boarders should come out (if you can GET out) today. We will not be renting equipment. We will continue to groom after shredding ends at 3 p.m.
We have groomed a few of our best runs (with a couple more inches on them now), and our roads are plowed better than many state highways, so we hope you can make it for a well needed break from the shoveling and plowing.
At 7 a.m. temps are ranging from 8 above at the base to +3 on top, and the wind has calmed.
We require a mask and proof of vaccination to come in the lodge, but we can come out to the deck and give you your prepaid pass. Just go to and purchase, and we’ll have it ready for you when you arrive.
A big hooray for Josh Davis and crew for getting many thousands of us back with power. What an awful job that had to be! We hope he can get out for a few runs soon.
We’ll see you soon!
